Quality & Certifications

The standards we follow, the checks built into every order, and the certifications that back them up — so your quality team has what it needs before a PO is raised.

Standards We Work To

Quality Standards We Follow

We benchmark our internal quality system and inspection practice against these recognised standards, whether or not a given order formally requires them.

QMS

ISO 9001:2015

Our Quality Management System is structured to ISO 9001:2015 principles — documented processes, corrective action and continual improvement. Formal certification is currently in progress.

TOLERANCING

ISO 2768

General tolerances for linear and angular dimensions on machined and pressed parts follow ISO 2768 unless your drawing specifies tighter, part-specific tolerances.

SAMPLING

ANSI/ASQ Z1.4

Final-inspection sampling plans follow ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (equivalent to ISO 2859-1) AQL tables, or 100% inspection where the part or buyer requires it.

PACKAGING

ISPM-15

Export wooden crates and pallets are heat-treated/fumigated to ISPM-15, accepted at customs in the USA, EU, UK, Australia and most other destinations.

Automotive or other regulated-industry buyers requiring PPAP/APQP documentation, IATF 16949-aligned records, or a specific customer quality manual should flag this at RFQ stage — we scope it into the quotation.

From Drawing to Dispatch

Manufacturing Process & Quality Checkpoints

Every order — die, pressed part, SPM or hammer mill screen — moves through the same eight-stage discipline, with a quality check built into the stage itself rather than left to the end.

STAGE 01

RFQ & Design Review

Drawing, material and tolerance reviewed for feasibility (DFM). Quotation and lead time issued, typically within 3–5 working days.

STAGE 02

Tool / Die Design & Build

Press tools, dies, jigs and fixtures designed and built in-house against the approved engineering drawing.

STAGE 03 · QC CHECKPOINT

First Article Inspection

Trial-run parts measured on CMM / profile projector against the drawing. Sample forwarded for your written approval before production begins.

STAGE 04 · QC CHECKPOINT

Incoming Material Inspection

Every raw-material batch checked against its mill test certificate — chemistry, hardness and thickness — before it enters the press shop.

STAGE 05

Production Run

Approved sample locks the process. Set-up sheets and process parameters are held constant for the full order quantity.

STAGE 06 · QC CHECKPOINT

In-Process (Patrol) Inspection

Critical dimensions checked at fixed intervals through the run; any non-conforming part is segregated immediately, not sorted out at the end.

STAGE 07 · QC CHECKPOINT

Final / Pre-Dispatch Inspection

Dimensional and visual check on critical characteristics before packing — full-lot check or AQL sampling per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, as agreed at order confirmation.

STAGE 08

Export Packing & Documentation

Rust-preventive/VCI wrap for ferrous parts, moisture-barrier bagging and ISPM-15 fumigated wooden crates, shipped with a full document set.

Understanding Our Certification

What ZED Bronze Means

ZED — Zero Defect, Zero Effect — is the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme run by India's Ministry of MSME, delivered through the Quality Council of India (QCI). Applicant units are assessed against a matrix of Quality, Productivity, Environment, Energy and other parameters before a Certification Level is awarded.

Precimax Engineers holds ZED Bronze certification following a site assessment of our Warje Malwadi, Pune facility, covering our manufacturing processes, product range and quality practices.

Alongside ZED Bronze, our Quality Management System is structured to ISO 9001:2015 requirements, with formal third-party certification currently in progress. We're happy to share our current certificates and audit status directly with your quality or procurement team on request.

Our Quality Policy

"Quality is built in, not inspected in — every process, every part."

— Megh Gholap, Director, Quality & Strategy · Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Our quality function is led by a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt-certified professional with prior experience at the Godrej & Birla Groups, applying the same operational-excellence discipline to every Precimax order — export or domestic.
